A portrait about the work of French architect Georges Maillols, who significantly shaped the cityscape of Rennes for over four decades after the WWII. He designed more than 140 buildings in the city, comprising over 10,000 apartments.
Iconic structures such as the “Tours Les Horizons”, “Les Hautes Ourmes”, and “Le Belvedere” exemplify his modernist vision of the “Les Trente Glorieuses” (The Thirty Glorious (Years)).
The images showcase Maillols’ characteristic use of exposed concrete, biomorphic forms, and innovative elements such as roof terraces and ribbon windows.
