
We were invited to develop a brand story and visual identity that would help attract both national and international students to the Wellington Region and build an ongoing and respected platform for communication.
Wellington Educated had lost momentum due to the pandemic in 2020 and needed a brand refresh and supporting visual identity to reinvigorate their message: to enjoy, live and study in Wellington. Ultimately helping to support the region’s primary, secondary and tertiary education providers and attract international students.
The message is simple but focussed: The Wellington Region has unique experiences beyond education. Students and families will fit in and grow. And will make Wellington a great place as their ‘home-away-from-home’ while studying in the beautiful and thriving capital.
Using language and culture the logo comprises two symbols with multiple meanings (open books, doors, Maori and pasifika iconography and speech marks) making the ‘W’ for Wellington.
