
The ongoing series HIBERNATION is investigating subconsciousness, and the sometimes grey boundary between truth and fiction. It is a personal project, using man and his relationship to the landscape as an investigative tool. Based upon real places and events, this series intends to catch moments when our daily reality and our subconscious world sometimes strike each other.
Challenging our cultural references to darkness and the unknown, the work is inspired by the unique light and atmosphere of the “blue hour.” This transition after sunset transforms the familiar into something foreign yet beautiful, inviting reflection and new interpretations of our surroundings.
With a cinematic and narrative quality, the series can be understood as a flow of frozen moments. Here, the story that unfolds between the frames is just as vital as the images themselves.
The Nordic latitudes are defined by dramatic seasonal shifts in light. Much of the inspiration is drawn from the months of polar darkn
