THE SHANGHAI EDITION / ARTWORK SERIES / 2026 SEUNGWON HONG

A Gentleman in Shanghai An Illustrated Journey at The Shanghai EDITION
SEUNGWON HONG / ???

Project concept
This three-part series distils moments from my stay at The Shanghai EDITION into painterly vignettes: a quiet morning in the guest room, an afternoon tea suspended above the skyline, and a final game in the lobby before departure. Across the series, loose brushwork, miniature figures, and an oversized eight ball transform observed details into scenes of humour, elegance, and travel memory.
